About Us
Literatim, meaning “to the letter”, Legal Services saw its foundation during the latter stages of 2006 with the principal objective of providing cost-effective and legally compliant business contracts and trusts, tailor-made to the client’s needs and requirements. Over time, this objective has expanded, but underlying the business philosophy is still that of providing quality service levels to ensure and maintain an optimised and professional relationship as well as prompt response to client requirements and needs.
Literatim Legal Services (Pty) Ltd offers dedicated and holistic legal and fiduciary services including professional independent Trustee services and Trust administration of Court Order Trusts and Family Business Trusts, Curatorships, estate structuring, wills, administration of deceased estates, agreements and contracts.

Mari is a Co-founder of Literatim Legal and an accomplished attorney, admitted to the High Court of South Africa in 2004. With a career rooted in the financial services industry, she is a distinguished adviser specialising in the intersection of estate planning, tax, investments, and business enterprises. Mari also co-authors the authoritative LexisNexis® reference work titled Claassen’s Dictionary of Legal Words and Phrases.
She frequently serves as an independent professional trustee for both family businesses and court-ordered trusts. Mari is particularly recognised for her expertise in managing and protecting the interests of vulnerable individuals, possessing deep technical knowledge of the legislation governing curatorships and fiduciary services. A dual-certified professional, she holds the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) and Fiduciary Practitioner of South Africa® (FPSA®) designations. When she is not navigating complex financial legislation, she is an active member of the VroueNetwerk and an avid traveller, photographer, and outdoor enthusiast.

Catherine is a Director and Shareholder at Literatim Legal Services, bringing nearly two decades of legal expertise since her admission as an Attorney and Conveyancer of the High Court of South Africa. Leveraging her specialist knowledge in property transactions and her formal qualification in corporate law, Catherine delivers authoritative advice on the complexities of the South African trust system including the establishment and administration of trusts.” Furthermore, she is regularly appointed as a curator bonis and a professional Trustee for court-ordered and special trusts, where the Court entrusts her to manage the financial affairs and assets of those unable to do so themselves.
A resolute academic contributor, she previously lectured on Constitutional Development and Justice at UNISA. She holds the prestigious Fiduciary Practitioner of South Africa® (FPSA®) designation and is an active member of both FISA and the VroueNetwerk. Outside of her practice, Catherine is deeply involved in her Centurion church community alongside her husband and is the proud mother of two energetic boys.

Kgomotso is a Legal Assistant with Literatim Legal and has a solid foundation in litigation, gained through firsthand experience as a legal secretary. Her background in legal support services has equipped her with a deep understanding of legal procedures, case preparation, and client service—skills that serve as a solid foundation for her continued growth within the legal profession.
Driven by a keen interest in the fiduciary sector, Kgomotso is enthusiastic about expanding her expertise in estate administration, trusts, wills, and compliance. She is committed to professional development and aspires to contribute meaningfully to the legal industry by combining her academic background with practical experience to provide effective legal and fiduciary solutions.
Kgomotso is known for her mindfulness, strong work ethic, and dedication to upholding the values of justice and integrity in every aspect of her work.

Ricia is a Legal Assistant with Literatim Legal. She undergone practical vocational training as a candidate legal practitioner with a reputable law firm in Pretoria where she gained valuable experience in general litigation. She has passed her competency-based examinations for admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa and is soon to be admitted as such.
At Literatim, she assists clients with a wide array of services — including the drafting of wills, contracts and antenuptial agreements; the structuring of estates; and the setup, management, and administration of trusts (such as family business trusts, court order trusts and inter vivos trusts).
She maintains an active lifestyle and prioritises her physical well-being – she loves to run, hike, play hockey and padel in her free time.
